Regmi, election security

Kathmandu, Oct. 30: Chairman of the Council of Ministers, Khil Raj Regmi, on Wednesday, held a meeting with the security chiefs and reviewed security situation in view of the November 19 Constituent Assembly elections.At the meeting attended by chiefs of all four security bodies, discussion was held on the strategy to how CA elections could be held in a free, fair and credible atmosphere.A press release issued by Chairman Regmi's Press Advisor, Bimal Gautam, mentioned that the discussion was held on security to the election candidates, operation of the election activities, and guarantee of fear-free environment for the people to exercise voting.
The meeting was attended by Home Minister Madhav Prasad Ghimire, Chief Secretary Leela Mani Poudel, Chief of Army Staffs Gaurav Shumsher JB Rana, Inspector General of Armed Police Koshraj Onta, Inspector General of Nepal Police Kuver Singh Rana, Chief of the National Investigation Department, Moti Bahadur Gurung and other security officials.
