Maoist & the UML clash in Dolpa

Dolpa, Oct. 31: Cadres of the Unified CPN
(Maoist) and the CPN (UML) clashed in Dolpa district on Wednesday.It is
reported that cadres of the two political parties clashed after the UML cadres
attacked Naina Prasad Pahadi, Coordinator of the UCPN (Maoist) District
Committee, Dolpa, while he was walking at Triveni mode near District Police
Office at 12:00 noon on Wednesday. Pahadi sustained head injuries in the
attack.
Later on Wednesday itself, the UCPN (Maoist) cadres pelted stones at
UML cadres at their meeting held in a guest house. Commoners walking to their
destination in the district headquarters, Dunai, were terrorized following the
clash between the UML, Maoist cadres and ran for safety following the clash
that took place for the second time in the day.
Meanwhile, the window screens of the Pala Guest House were shattered
and balcony vandalized in the incident. The Nepal Army was mobilized after the
police failed to take the situation under control.
